Learn from international experts, and network to share lessons with local peers
Following the huge success of the International Fundraising Congress (IFC) Pop Ups in 2017 and 2018, the Resource Alliance, in partnership with Nedbank Private Wealth, the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) Foundation, and the University of Cape Town (UCT) Graduate School of Business (GSB) Bertha Centre, brings a fresh selection of some of the best sessions from IFC 2018 in Holland and Asia to South Africa. These learning and networking events will take place in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town during February and March 2019
What are the IFC Pop Ups and who should attend?
They are one-day fundraising inspiration and learning sessions jam-packed with some of the best speakers from IFC Holland and IFC Asia as well as local presentations. The sessions provide an opportunity for local fundraisers and social impact leaders to access the IFC magic, innovation and inspiration close to home. Presented in video format with live Q&A via Skype with some of the speakers, the IFC Pop Ups give you the opportunity to learn from some of the world’s leading fundraising experts and network with peers on how to apply learnings locally.
There are three events in South Africa – starting on Wednesday 20 February
The Pop Ups start on Wednesday 20 February at GIBS in Illovo, Sandton, and then the other two take place in March.

We are committed to strengthening the philanthropic sector with practical lessons
Nedbank Private Wealth’s Head of Philanthropy, Noxolo Hlongwane, has first-hand experience of the benefits of the IFC, having attended the conference as a speaker in 2017: ‘We remain committed to building capacity within the non-profit sector to fulfil an important role in our society,’ says Noxolo. ‘Given the current global economic slowdown, the IFC Pop Ups are a great opportunity to practically equip organisations on their fundraising strategies to attract funding. And so we are thrilled that we have partnered with the Resource Alliance once again to bring these valuable sessions to South Africa.’
