The International Fundraising Congress (IFC) Pop Ups returned to South Africa in March 2018, with a fresh, new programme of fundraising inspiration and high-quality learning for the 150 local fundraisers who attended.
Curated by the Resource Alliance in partnership with Nedbank Private Wealth, the University of Stellenbosch Business School and the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), the IFC Pop Ups showcased some of the best video sessions from IFC and IFC Asia 2017, giving local social impact leaders and fundraisers the opportunity to learn from some of the world’s brightest fundraising stars.
Each IFC Pop Up was packed with energising, inspiring and enlightening video sessions, delivered by international fundraising experts. There were also live Skype Q&As with some of the speakers, as well as a presentation by one of South Africa’s most successful fundraising teams – the Red Cross Children’s Hospital Trust.
The IFC Pop Ups 2018 programme included sessions on major gift fundraising essentials, how philanthropy is changing in Europe and how to adapt, how to build a bequest programme from scratch, how to fundraise from US foundations, how to build a fundraising strategy in seven steps, how to use data to drive results, and lots more.

‘The IFC Pop Ups are a great opportunity to practically equip organisations on their fundraising strategies. And so we are thrilled that we have partnered with the Resource Alliance once again to bring these valuable sessions to South Africa,’ says Noxolo.
